The default landing page at login in the Overview section in the Sidebar Menu. From here, you can access financial and occupancy insights, which are valuable for managing rental properties efficiently.

 

Understand the Overview Dashboard

The Overview dashboard is the default landing screen when you log into the software. It provides a snapshot of your rental management operations. It displays various metrics that help you monitor the financial and operational status of your properties.

 

Clicking on any information card or graph will take you to the details for that operational area. This makes the Overview an effective quick-access tool for all of the elements shown in the Overview.

 

Total Outstanding

The Total Outstanding card shows the amount of money that has been invoiced but has not yet paid. It's useful for understanding how much income is pending.

 

Unpaid Invoices

The Unpaid Invoices card provides a detailed list of invoices that have not been paid. This helps you identify whether you are having payment issues, and clicking on it can show specific tenants or properties with outstanding payments.

 

Pending Service Requests

The Pending Service Requests card shows the number of maintenance and service requests that are still open and require attention. Keeping track of these helps ensure timely resolution of maintenance issues.

 

Active Prospects

The Active Prospects card highlights the number of potential tenants currently interested in your properties. This can be useful for managing leads and helping fill vacancies.

 

Review Occupancy Data

The Occupancy chart on the DoorSpot dashboard provides insights into property utilization by displaying current occupancy rates and trends. This is particularly valuable for customers managing medium-term rentals for whom occupancy is more variable.

By examining the data in the Occupancy chart, you can assess how well your properties are being utilized. This information helps in making informed decisions about property management and planning future rental strategies.

This chart provides a little more detail than the card at the top of the page. It discriminates between Maintenance Requests and Inspections.

Respond to Prospects Needing Attention

The Prospects Needing Attention table is located on the dashboard and lists potential tenants who require follow-up. This table allows you to view details such as prospect names, contact information, and dates of last interaction.

 

To respond to a prospect, locate their details in the Prospects Needing Attention table and use the available contact information to initiate communication. This may include sending an email or making a call to address any questions or schedule a property viewing.

 

Timely communication with prospects is important. Prompt responses can help keep potential tenants engaged and increase the likelihood of securing rentals. Ensure you follow up on any inquiries or requests listed in this table as soon as possible.
