Navigate the Dashboard
Log in to your account to access and navigate the main features of the DoorSpot dashboard, which serves as your landing page and control center.

Notifications & Profile: Found at the top-right corner, they alert you to new messages, updates, and reminders. In the same location, you can access your profile and account settings.

Quick Links Menu: Located on the side panel, these provide fast access to your most-used sections.

Recent Activities: This section is displayed in the center of the dashboard, showing the latest actions and updates for your properties.
Set Up Properties
Add New Properties
Adding a new property to DoorSpot involves a few straightforward steps. Follow these instructions to ensure all necessary information and documents are entered correctly.

Log in to DoorSpot and

navigate to the
Doors
in the main menu. -
Click the
Add Property
button located on the right side of theProperties
section. -
Choose whether it is a
Single Family
orMulti-family
property type. -
Through the next couple of simple forms, fill in :

Property Name: Enter a unique name.

Tags: Select or enter new property tags. These are how you can organize and group properties.

Address: Provide the full address, and you can confirm it on the map

Fill in the required fields for the Unit :

Unit number or title: Defaults to property name

Rent & Deposit amount details
-

Open up the
Unit details
drawer and fill in the desired data about the unit. -
Click the
Save
button to add the new property and its associated unit to your portfolio. -
Upload relevant documents by clicking the
Add Documents
button. Drag and drop files or select them from your device. -
After entering the details and uploading documents, review the information for accuracy.
Once saved, the property and associated unit will appear on your property list and be ready for further action or modifications.
Edit Property Details
To update existing property information in DoorSpot, such as changing rental rates, descriptions, and images, follow these steps:

Navigate to the
Properties
section in the main menu. -
Select the property you wish to update from the list.

Click the
Edit
button on the property detail page. -
To change property images, click the
Update Images
button and upload new images. -
Click
Save
to apply the changes.
Manage Tenants
Track Tenant Information
To maintain and update tenant records, you will manage lease agreements, payment history, and contact details through the DoorSpot platform. Here’s how to navigate and control each aspect.

Lease Agreements: Navigate to
Lease Agreements
under the tenant profile to review or update lease terms. Use theEdit
button to modify details. Upload new documents by clicking theUpload New Document
button. -
Payment History: Access the
Payment History
section from the tenant profile to view all transactions. Select individual records for detailed views. Adjust records using theEdit Payment
button. -
Contact Information: Go to
Contact Information
within the tenant profile to update phone numbers or email addresses. Use theEdit
button to make changes. Save updates by clicking theSave
button.
Utilize Communication Tools
Send Messages
To send a message to a tenant using DoorSpot, follow these steps.

Navigate to the
Tenant Communication
section. -
Click on the
Compose Message
button. -
Enter the tenant's name in the
Recipient
field. -
Write your message in the
Message
textbox. -
To use a template, click on the
Templates
dropdown menu. -
Select the appropriate template from the list.

Customize the template if required.

Click the
Send
button to deliver your message.

Manage Inbox
To efficiently organize and manage your inbox in DoorSpot, follow these steps to sort messages, set up auto-replies, and archive old conversations.

Sort Messages:

Go to your inbox.

Click on the
Sort By
dropdown menu at the top. -
Choose the sorting criteria (e.g., date, sender, subject).

Set Up Auto-Replies:

Open the
Settings
menu. -
Navigate to
Email Settings
. -
Click on
Auto-Reply
. -
Enter the auto-reply message in the provided text field.

Save the changes.

Archive Old Conversations:

Select the messages you want to archive using the checkboxes.

Click on the
Archive
button at the top of the inbox. -
Confirm the action to move the selected conversations to the archive folder.
