Managing Units

Customize Unit Tables

The Unit and Properties tables are customizable through the Customize Table button. This functionality makes it easy to tailor the information displayed.

Clicking on the Customize Table button will open a menu where you can choose which columns to add to your display. You can add or remove columns based on the information you need.

  1. To display the property address, find and select the option for property address.

  2. To show the number of bedrooms, locate and select the appropriate column.

  3. Make other necessary adjustments to the table to meet your requirements.

These steps help ensure that the unit table shows relevant and useful information tailored to your specific needs. Adjusting the table makes it easier to manage and view details about the properties and units.

Use Tags for Organization

Create and Apply Tags

To organize and search your properties and/or units efficiently, you can use tags. Tags allow you to categorize units based on various attributes that are relevant to your management needs.

To access tags, you need to edit a unit. Start by navigating to the Units section and selecting the unit you wish to edit. From the unit's options menu, click on Edit. This will open the Edit Unit modal.

Within the Edit Unit modal, you will find a section labeled Tags. To create a new tag, simply start typing the desired tag name in the Tags textbox. Once you have entered the tag name, press Enter to add the new tag to the unit.

Applying tags to your units is a powerful way to organize and manage them. By selecting a tag from the list of existing tags, you can filter and search units more effectively, ensuring better accessibility and management of your property portfolio.

Use Tags to Organize Units

Tags are a powerful tool to simplify organizing and searching for property units. Create descriptive and consistent tags that reflect important unit characteristics, like 'Two-Bedroom', 'Pet-Friendly', or 'Downtown'. Use these tags to easily group and filter units, making property management more efficient.

Benefits of Tagging

Tags are a powerful feature within DoorSpot, designed to help you organize and search for property units. Each unit can have multiple tags, allowing for a flexible categorization system tailored to your needs.

Using tags, you can easily search for units based on specific criteria. By entering tags into the search bar or filter panel, you can quickly narrow down your list of units to those that match your requirements.

Tags also enable you to group units into portfolios. This can be particularly useful for managing properties that share certain characteristics or for organizing units by specific categories. Grouping units into portfolios simplifies the process of managing and tracking them within the system.

Navigate Different Views

The Units and Properties lists have two different views:

The map view provides a comprehensive visual layout of your units based on their geographic addresses. This display makes it easy to see the distribution of your properties.

You can navigate the map using standard map controls like zooming in and out and dragging to move around. Clicking on a unit within the map allows for further interaction and detailed views.

Filter Units

Apply Filters

To filter the list of units, start by opening the filter panel by clicking on the small green Filter Icon next to the Customize Table button. (For more details of this see the "Filtering Units and Properties" article.) This will expand the filter panel, revealing various filtering options.
